CHAPTER 11

     Prove What You Are Worth
Thousands of chefs can cook at a high level. That sentence is
not an insult. It is a market description. At senior level, craft is
the entry requirement. Every credible candidate can execute.
Your value moves when you bring something else, something

There are three levels. Skill: the ability to perform. Judgment:
the ability to make the right decision in context. Systems: the
ability to make strong performance repeatable through other
people.

Figure 12. Commercial value rises when skill becomes judgment and judgment
                       becomes a repeatable system.

Skill is valuable and widely available. Judgment is rarer because
it is built through experience, reflection and consequence.
Systems are rarer again because they turn individual judgment
